Finally updated! Turtle River State Park part 2
Is it already October? Summer always seems to go by too quickly.
Between my residency at Turtle River State Park, the Plein Air painting group I'm lucky to be a part of, gardening (and canning all the resulting goodies) fall has snuck up on me.
I promised a while ago that I'd post the oil paintings I did at my residency at Turtle River State Park, so better late than never - here they are!
As part of my residency, I donated one painting to the state park to be part of their permanent collection. It's such an honor to have my work on display where the inspiration struck me. It was a challenge to pick out the piece I thought best represented my residency, but I ended up choosing this one. It was the view of the sky and hillside from the campsite I spent a week living in.
Hopefully this painting captures the amazing color and energy I loved being around at Turtle River State Park. I'm so happy to be able to share these snippets of my amazing time at the park, and I'm sure I'll be back again - maybe spending more time camping than painting!
Finally (this is getting long!), I promised an etsy coupon code for anyone interested. This work isn't on etsy yet (a lot is showing at galleries across the state right now), but I'll get the pieces I have listed soon. Regardless, use the coupon code "TRSPND" for a 15% off discount on anything. Good until the end of the year. Maybe get some christmas shopping done early? Happy fall!
